The observations in your article were interesting and informative.
However as a Black person I am looking forward
to seeing this exhibition along with my children.
I know the history and have seen the pictures of my people in both the old and new worlds. The prospect of seeing Us as simply a wonderful beautiful people without all the negative baggage is what makes me eager to see this exhibition.

Only know of this exhibit thru the documentary today and will make time to go to Amsterdam this week to see it. For many years I have been interested in viewing just such an assembly, representing people of color. Many people black and white are not even aware that blacks lived in Europe as slaves or free people. I too appreciate the critique, however, we know so well the negative images and many know little else. I am sure the exhibit has been enlightening to many.
